The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)     said:

                  Both the bribe-giver and the bribe-taker are in the fire.

 Description:

                                 Bribery is common in a nation when justice is done and people do not get their rights in a just manner. This condition of a nation is a very bad form of its social degradation and oppression. In a society where the legitimate rights of human beings are hampered by the illegitimate demands of tyrants, how can peace and tranquility be maintained? That is why the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said about both the bribe-giver and the bribe-taker that they are the fuel of the fire of Hell. The point here is that the bribe-giver is mentioned first. It became clear that even a bribe-giver could not escape punishment for this sin.

:آپ صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم نے فرمایا

رشوت دینے والا اور رشوت لینے والا دونوں آگ میں ہیں۔

:تشریح

رشوت کا چلن کسی قوم میں اس وقت عام ہوتا ہے، جب عدل وانصاف ختم ہو جائے اور لوگوں کو ان کے حقوق جائز طریقے سے نہ مل سکیں ۔ کسی قوم کی یہ حالت اس کے معاشرتی بگاڑ اور ظلم کی ایک نہایت خراب صورت ہے۔ جس معاشرے میں انسانوں کے جائز حقوق کی راہ میں ظالم اہلکاروں کے ناجائز مطالبے حائل ہو جائے، وہاں امن و سکون بھلا کیسے قائم رہ سکتا ہے۔ اسی لیے رشوت دینے والا اور رشوت لینے والا دونوں ہی کے متعلق رسول صلی اللہ علیہ والہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا کہ وہ جہنم کی آگ کا ایندھن ہیں۔ یہاں توجہ طلب بات یہ ہے کہ رشوت دینے والے کا ذکر پہلے ہوا ہے۔ جس واضع ہوا کہ رشوت دینے والا بھی اس گناہ کی سزا سے بچ نہیں سکتا۔
